Privacy and GDPR Policy

In connection with the entry into force, on 25 May 2018, of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, commonly referred to as the GDPR, to comply with the information obligation, we wish to inform you on the types of personal data we collect and of the principles on which the processing takes place.

 

I.The Controller of your personal data is the Institute of Power Engineering Research Institute with its seat in Warsaw, st. Mory 8, zip code 01-330 Warsaw (hereinafter: IEn), email: instytut.energetyki@ien.com.pl.

II.For matters regarding the protection of your personal data you can contact the Data Protection Officer at odo@ien.com.pl and/or on +48 792254056 or by sending a letter to the address of our office indicated in section I above.

III.We process your data on the basis of various legal grounds and for various purposes, including in particular:

  • job candidates – in accordance with the consent given by the candidate for the processing of such data as part of one or more (future) recruitment processes for the same position,
  • data obtained in a different way – based on your consent, for the purpose known to the parties (answering to a request for proposal transmitted electronically, service provision) for a period of 3 years from the date of the last contact concerning the matter specified in the form or until you withdraw your consent,
  • data obtained for the purpose of performance of a contract – since they are necessary to provide the service and to inform about any changes that may be of interest to you, until the service is completed, the cooperation is discontinued or the consent is withdrawn by you, except that in the case of data processed for tax, accounting or similar purposes such processing may continue until the time provided for by law.

IV.  You provide your data voluntarily. However, in some cases, you may be required by law to provide them. In such cases, as a result of your refusal to allow access to your data by the Institute of Power Engineering, Gdańsk Division, the Institute may not be able to answer your questions, send a proposal or provide a service.

V.  In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access your data and receive a copy of them, to rectify (correct) your data, to delete them, to limit or object to their processing, to transfer your data and to withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by contacting our Division, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

VI.With the security of the entrusted data in mind, we ensure that personal data processed by the Institute of Power Engineering, Gdańsk Division, are adequately protected against third-party access and external access.

VII.We will store your data for the period necessary to ensure proper performance of the service. In each case, the period of processing may be extended by the limitation period for claims if the processing of personal data is necessary to establish or pursue claims, if any, or for IEn's defence against such claims.

VIII. Your personal data may be transferred to other personal data processors (e.g. accounting service providers, health and safety supervision service providers, IT systems and IT services providers) on behalf of the Institute of Power Engineering, Gdańsk Division, on the basis of a data processing agreement.

IX.The recipients of your data are authorised employees/associates of the Institute of Power Engineering, Gdańsk Division, who may be granted access to such data in order to perform their duties.

X.Your personal data are not subject to profiling.

XI.The website of the Institute of Power Engineering, Gdańsk Division, may use cookies. They are used to identify the browser when using the website, so we know which page is displayed and we can adjust the content offered by the Institute of Power Engineering, Gdańsk Division, to your individual preferences..

XII.The Institute of Power Engineering, Gdańsk Division, wishes to inform you that providing your personal data is voluntary and that you can withdraw your consent at any time, with the proviso that such withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.
